The Green Sayulita Smoothie

Today, spring is slowly but surely coming to town. A great time to sit outside in the sun and enjoy a delicious smoothie. I used to drink this green smoothie every day while I was living in Sayulita, a little Mexican surfer village. So that is why I called it the Green Sayulita Smoothie. It has been already one year now, but my love for this healthy energy bomb continuous also here in Zurich and that is why I definitely need to share this recipe with you.

Servings: 1
Level: Easy


  • 1 handfull of spinach leaves
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1 Kiwi (or 1/2 apple)
  • 1 tablespoon of flaxseeds
  • 100 ml (1/2 cup) of almond milk
  • 1 -2 cups of ice (or water)
  • Optional: 2-3 pitted dates if you like a sweeter smoothie


Put everything in the blender and blend until it is smooth. If it is too thick just add more water, ice or almond milk. Enjoy 🙂
